Isle of Wight - that was more than alright!
I had a fantastic time playing for @cirquedelaquirk at Isle of Wight Festival yesterday. OF COURSE it started raining for the first time during my set, but big thanks to the crowd who were absolutely brilliant to me - saw a lot of friendly faces in the audience too!
Decided to debut a song I wrote yesterday (!) in my set, and it went down a storm as well! I'm heading home now and then back off to Wales tomorrow to work on this record 👊

I’m just heading home from a fantastic run of shows in India. 8 shows, 6 sold out. I loved every second of it, but now it's time to head back to the UK and lay down the new songs before some more spring and summer dates.

It’s with a heavy heart that I have to announce that my “Home Fires” tour is cancelled. The COVID 19 situation and uncertainty around this has left me with no other option. New Single - Out June 28th
I’m very pleased to announce I have a new song coming out on June 28th and its...
WONDERWALL.
After a show one evening Ben (my incredible cellist) and I were chatting and I mentioned I wanted to do a new cover. We usually do Kids (by MGMT) but we have been playing it for years and I wanted to freshen things up.
I began looking at new releases and thinking "this would be cool... that would be a sweet cover" etc when all of a sudden I thought NOOOOOOO! I should do a song that would be VERY DIFFICULT to cover. Something that would raise eyebrows. I wanted to be brave and not choose the easy option. I wanted to make you all totally reimagine the song...
A few songs were on my list, but Wonderwall stood out as the biggest challenge - So I worked out a new version and showed it to Ben. He sprinkled his genius on it and we started chucking it in the show and the reaction was so good that I decided to record it. The recording has turned out so well I decided we should put it out.
It's out on Smithereen Records on June 28th and you can pre order/pre save it on June 23rd.
I'm really proud of this track and I can’t wait to hear all of your reactions!

Hey all - Sadly Gaz Coombes has broken his leg so the tour with him has been rescheduled for May.
Existing tickets are still valid and if you can't make the new dates, you can get a refund from your point of purchase. I can't wait for these shows!

Hi all - just a quick update, the first of 2 big announcements this week - I am so pleased to say I will be opening for Gaz Coombes for his 4 shows in January! I am HUGE Fan of Gaz and love everything from Supergrass to his absolutely stunning solo work.

Gold Dust Boxes - Collection for Turning Tides
Hey all. Wanted to share this idea for Saturdays gig with you.
I am going to set up two 'Gold Dust Boxes' at the venue all day tomorrow (Saturday 3rd) and ask that everyone who comes to the show brings something along to help the more vulnerable in our society.
In box one I am collecting for a local food bank, so any non perishable food that you can bring will go to help feed a struggling Worthing family.
In box two I am collecting winter clothes for Worthing’s Homeless, so any jumpers, socks, jackets etc. can be left there.
The boxes will be in the venue from 1pm so you can drop your bits off rather than carry them about for Pre drinks etc.
I am working with the lovely people at Turning Tides to make sure this all gets to where it's needed most. Let's all try and make a difference to some local folk tomorrow and please share far and wide. Chris x

I’ve had an amazing time playing shows in Vienna, Prague, Frankfurt & Stuttgart with the magnificent Stu Larsen and Natsuki Kurai. I also played two amazing house shows (with another tonight) so massive thanks to all who came to see me, hosted me, bought my CD’s and stopped by for a chat.
Tomorrow, I make my way back home to Sussex for my Sold Out show at St Paul’s, Worthing. I can’t wait!
